One principal — by design, for now.

Clay Capital Group operates with a single managing principal so every engagement is reviewed and routed directly. The firm is structured to add additional principals as the work grows.

Craig Clay

Founder & Managing Member

Craig Clay built Clay Capital Group around a simple gap: many capable builders and sponsors know how to execute the work, but lack clean access to aligned capital relationships and qualified trade partners. The firm exists to make those introductions more precise, disciplined, and relationship-based — not to mass-submit deals or sit between counterparties.

He operates the firm as the managing principal and is the point of accountability on every engagement. Every introduction is reviewed and routed personally. The work is narrow on purpose: introductions only, never the deal itself.

How the firm operates

Founder-led review. Selective routing. Reputation, not volume.

Founder-led review

Every project is read and assessed by the principal before any introduction is made. No mass submission. No associate reviewing materials in advance.

Selective routing

Introductions are matched by corridor, project size, project stage, lender mandate, and readiness. If the fit isn’t there, the firm says so quickly.

Relationship-based reputation

The work scales by trust, not volume. Counterparties who receive an introduction know it has been reviewed and routed personally.

Small on purpose

A small number of active engagements at any time. Additional principals will be added as the firm grows; the founder-led posture remains.

Forward

Clay Capital Group is structured to add additional principals as the firm grows. Inquiries from experienced capital advisors aligned with the firm’s mandate are welcome.
